Im planning on getting the Line Invaders for this ski season, I was wondering if there is a specific type of boot and binding that i should look into that wont break under jumping/park use. Im also trying not to spend a ton of money. Thanks!

I’m trying to find out when the Canadian ski season officially starts. I’ve heard it’s earlier than the European season.
When do the resorts officially open for the ski season?

I really love skiing. My only problem is I live in SC. I am planning to take a few trips this winter, and the only slopes I have been to are Wolf Ridge in NC (my aunt has a cabin there) and Winterplace in WV. Wolf Ridge is definately not the best, and Winterplace is WAY overcrowded. Anyone have any other recommendations for good East coast ski spots? Thanks!

I was at cataloochee ski slope in maggie valley, NC. I was wondering if ski slopes have a emergency plan if the chair lift breaks down and leaves people stranded…I could see a ‘cherry picker’ being used but the ground is too uneven or in the case of trams too far down…

I have been skiing for a few years. Every boot I wear kills my shins and calves. They lock up as soon as I put on my boot. I have tried many boots and got a new pair. The boot is not too tight, I feel like it is the angle that my foot is in. They are so cramped up I have to lean on my pole waiting for the ski lift and I cant enjoy skiing for a long period of time.

- Should I heat it if it is metal; or soak it, to try to warp a wood cored ski.
- It does not have to hold the shape. It will be fastened with screws, through the ski into the sub structure. Simply bend without breaking

I’m in the beginning stages of planning a ski and snowboard vacation for the end of the year. I live in California, but I’m planning on visiting either Colorado or Utah (not sure which yet!) My question is this: I’m going to be flying to my destination, but do I need to rent a car to get between my hotel and the ski resorts or can I just use shuttles? (I’m not even sure if I’m going to stick to one mountain yet or try a few different ones, so I might need to travel between THEM as well.) Also, if I absolutely do need to rent a car, what kind should I get? There will only be two of us, but we’ll have all our gear.
Thanks for your advice!

We are considering a ski vacation after Christmas and before January 1st. Are the ski areas in CO, UT, and WY completely open by then? We live on the East Coast and haven’t been West for skiiing.
