Easier to learn to ski if you already know how to snowboard?

I’ve been snowboarding for about 8 years now and I’m interested in learning how to ski. Is it easier to learn skiing if you know how to snowboard?

    depends, in all honesty… snowboard is hard to learn but easy to master and skiing is easy to learn and hard to master. plus you have to get used to looking forward than looking over your shoulder.

    I would say yes I did it the other way round I skied then learnt to board . But I think you’ll find it just as easy as you already have the basics – balance plus you know how the skis/board will react in the snow/ice

    I would rent them and see how it like then decides but
    skis pros and cons/
    easy to get off the lift /pro
    harder to stop/con
    you have to get use to looking forward
    hard to get up

    snowboarding Pros/ Cons
    hard to get off lift
    easier to get up
