Is there ski instruction available in English if I were to go on a holiday in Greece?

ski holiday

I have never been skiing before and so want to learn! I know Mount Parnassus is highly recommended and so was looking to head there, but does anyone know if lessons are offered in English?

Thank you!

Absolutely! almost everyone speaks at least a little bit of English, and in tourist areas you need to be able to speak English even to get a cleaning job.

I’m afraid mount Parnassos will not be much help for skiing during the next 5 months at least. It usually starts from mid December and lasts until April.
As for instructors, that will be an easily solved problem as many people speak English and certainly, on areas of touristic interest even more.

Once you get there you have to arrange with a teacher. The teacher will probably know english, but if it is a group thing it may be in greek. It is best to arrange a private lesson. Anyway, just make sure you come at a time when there is snow. That is usually December-March.

PS. perhaps the teacher will agree to do a team course both in Greek and English, like repeat what he says for you in English while the other students try to practise.
