What are some best ski resorts that are close to NYC?

poconos, no..you said good resorts…

hunter mountain in the catskills is the closest decent resort (about 2 hours)

the absolute best resorts are in southern vermont (about 3-3 1/2 hours):
killington will probably be your best choice with lodging right on site–you never have to touch you’re car while you’re there, a shuttle will also take you to the main killington strip where the bars, restaurants and shops are
