What are some popular ski resorts near the Washington DC area?

    ski resorts in DC……lol thats funny. U must have it confused with Washington state.

    haha how ironic. i’m from the dc area and now live in california. anyway, massanutten is a close by ski resort (about 2 and a half hours) as well as wintergreen (about 3 hours). however, i’ve heard many times that they aren’t the greatest for those that are used to challenging skiing. if you want to go a bit further (although i think its closer than wintergreen), go to snowshoe, on the border of w.va and va and they have the more challenging slopes that people from the west (areas like colorado i mean) are used to.

    there are a couple sking places kinda close to dc like 2 hours is white tale or ski liberty which is in pennsylvania or 4 hours which is really awsome skiing in cannan valley west virginia at timberline or cannan ski resort or black water falls WV
