Colorado has some very tough anti-smoking laws. I would be extremely surprised if smoking were allowed on lifts at any of the resorts. Furthermore, you may be challenged to find areas outside of your rental car or hotel room where you may smoke. Make sure you specify you are a smoker when you make your reservations as smoking in a non-smoking vehicle or hotel room can results in very expensive fees and fines.
It’s a no-no:
Scroll down to the “on the slopes” section.
I would be surprised if you are still able to breathe if you intend to smoke and ski at an elevation of over 9,000 feet.
