What is the best ski resort in the Midwest?

ski
David asked:

I live in Minneapolis and have gone skiing in Lutsen, MN for the last several years. Lutsen is definitely better skiing than anywhere else in Minnesota, but I’m wondering if there’s something comparable in another state. However, it’s difficult to figure out much about how the resorts compare from looking at their websites. Can anybody tell me whether there are ski resorts with more, longer, or otherwise better runs than Lutsen in the Midwest? Michigan? The Black Hills? Wisconsin? I’d appreciate comparisons from somebody who has been to several of them. Thank you!

Oh you have to have to go to Breckenridge in Colorado!!! Its a few hours in the mountains from Denver and reasonably priced. Its a pretty ski town and people here love it! The runs are great and keystone is close by which has night skiing! There are tons of options in co for skiing that will be fun for you to go to!
