I’ll be going on a very short visit to Switzerland this 1st week of November & will stay mainly within the vicinity of the University of Fribourg. What is the nearest mountain or ski resort that I could visit where I can have a good experience of the Swiss alps?

    Never been, but this looks nice:

    less than an hour away, even by bus.
