All of their ski areas will open around mid november. Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley usually open the earliest.
You can usually count on resorts opening around Thanksgiving. Earlier if there is good, early snow, but that is up to mother nature.
If there is no early snow, the end of November is usually reliable. One note – many resorts will only open 50-75% of their runs until they get a really good snowfall.
Most places in Tahoe usually open at the end of November and some times early December, depending on how cold the weather is (so they can make snow and it wont melt) or if there is natural snow and how much (they need to build a base first) Most places hope to open by Thanksgiving since its a long holiday and people usually travel on holidays.
